The Google Pixel series is the ideal device for users with a demanding lifestyle or those who are looking to upgrade from their current smartphone and tablet. They offer high-quality hardware in an affordable price, plus excellent performance and smooth software updates, and they provide features that make them attractive to consumers that might not have considered upgrading to a newer phone.

The Android operating system powers almost every piece of tech, including your smartwatch or fitness tracker. So you want an Android flagship—not Apple’s iPhone 13. That's because the latest smartphone release by either company can only be sold at a much higher cost than it used to be, leaving most people out of pocket if they don't pay top dollar for one.

The new models of both phones have been released this year, starting with the smaller version of the Pixel 6a as well as two slightly upgraded versions of its predecessor: 6a 5G and 6a XL. But the biggest news may be on the larger model of Pixel 7 Pro. This edition was unveiled during Google I/O 2022 event last month and features some pretty important upgrades on its part: improved cameras, faster charging, and even better battery life across the board.

Google Pixel 7 Pro Reviews & Prices

Google Pixel 7 Pro Specs Model Pixel 7 Pro Display Screen size AMOLED Camera 12 MP / 16 MP Front Camera 8MP Ultra-wide Lens Rear Camera 50 MP 2.1 1-piece Dynamic OIS Video capture Time 4:2:2 10-bit RAM & Storage 128GB ROM Size 8.4 x 10 x 0.9 inches Weight 229g Dimensions 159.6 x 73.7 x 9 mm

As far as specifications go, there are several obvious highlights. First off, the larger Pixel 7 Pro builds upon its predecessors' success, having taken inspiration from Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (Samsung) and Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro (Xiaomi). However, unlike past editions of this size, these devices now feature Qualcomm Snapdragon processors instead of just relying on an older Intel chipset. Google says this is due to its own custom chip which has increased performance while also reducing power consumption on the same device. Another aspect of the larger model worth noting is how fast 3G speeds have increased, although we haven't seen any official confirmation of the improvements yet. These phones are coming with up to 80W fast charging, so be sure to look for a compatible adapter from your charging provider if charging becomes an issue, but otherwise, expect this handset to charge quickly.

Overall, you'll find all modern smartphones equipped with Android 11 on display on Google's flagship line, and many premium options as well. For more details, you'll want to do some research online or find our dedicated guide on buying Google Pixel devices for yourself.
