The iPhone is a luxury mobile phone, while the Google’s are all but a necessity. Apple sells its products in different countries depending on what country they make their phones. However; Apple makes most of its devices and software available globally. In contrast to this, Google doesn’t sell gadgets as much as it does applications, games etc. So here we compare how each one stacks up against the other.
Google is well known for developing smart assistants like Siri. It also has some very good smartphone apps that have made people use them more than before. For instance there are new features such as Voice Control, which allows you to switch between any two compatible Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. Also, your home assistant Google Assistant can change into either an apple or android device. This was something that only Android users knew a little about though now with these great things being added you’ll be able to take advantage of almost anything with the voice assistant. You may be wondering why I am talking about this but just because both IOS and android are capable of performing similar tasks (aside from playing music and movies) that people were used to switching off a screen completely to play instead.
Google Pixel vs Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra vs iPhone 13 Pro Max
Android smartphones are usually sold by giant companies like Samsung. Samsung however went out of business after getting a huge loss in stock. Even so, Samsung continues to build better quality iPhones which still costs higher than traditional Android smartphones. Apple also builds better iPhones. But Google really started making solid profits when it came to hardware sales compared to Apple. Just compare the differences!
Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max - $999
The iPhone 13 pro max is the best value but the downside of having Apple branding is that it takes longer to ship than you would expect. It’s not like you don’t get hold of a pre-dated model at a cheaper price than if you buy a brand new one but there isn’t much difference when it comes to performance. With the extra money you end up paying for an upgraded version of your phone. If that’s a turnkey feature, then no I don’t think so.
Also, the battery life of the iPhone 13 pro max has been slightly lower than it could have been. What do you mean? Well the first thing that would probably come to mind after reading that sentence is “what the hell!!”. That is true, the iPhone 13 pro max battery will drain down quickly after long usage. Then again, its worth noting that battery life in general on iPhone models has been average unless you are someone who uses third party accessories. These are usually meant for professional photographers, videographers, video editors, etc. Not everyone uses those tools so the time spent without using them won’t contribute to battery life. Also, that model had only four cameras and the latest one has six. Now it should be noted that 4/5 in my opinion was still enough but again, it depends on individual needs and preferences. Still, if you need a bigger display and even better specs, then go for it. As far as design goes, the iPhone 13 Pro max also looks like an overpriced piece of shit.
Google Pixel 3a (2018): $399.99
Compared to the iPhone 13 pro max, the iPhone 13 pro max feels like a bit more expensive. Again, this would mainly depend on how much cash you want to spend as long as you have a budget to spare for new gadgets. When it comes to design, the new Google Pixel 3a has a pretty cool look to it that is appealing to many. Like the original google Pixel, it has got minimal buttons and functions. There are buttons that pop up when you press them, but that was the case with the older generation of apple products as well (except that one where buttons popped out). Also, the sides of the phone are smoother than the ios, leaving the back more appealing. But all that aside, it is the same price as the iPhone 13 pro max. It is $699, right? Not too sure about that but hey, what the fuck.
Google Pixel 2A, 2020 ($479).00(for 12 GB RAM model)
Unlike Apple, Google rarely throws out high-quality phones. Usually, you can catch a couple of low cost versions of those phones within various regions/countries. The only exception is the latest flagship Google Pixel 5. There is no doubt that it looks slick and modern looking but the overall feel of the phone simply feels cheap and disorganized. Most importantly, it has a lower starting price since it was launched under less popular company names such as Oppo, Realme, Vivo in China. Of course, all other countries see this handset on sale at a ridiculous amount.
In comparison to Google, the real question is: Is Google actually making better smartphones than Apple is? Probably. One thing, both of their phones are quite stylish with lots of premium materials, colors, and camera lenses. Another thing, both give you a nice big LCD screens, which is perfect for watching certain movies, especially 4K videos. So, the question remains: Can people really argue that Apple is better than Google when it comes to product development? Sure, it seems the way Apple pushes out features or updates phones means people wait for them for a year or so before trying Google’s new stuff, but it still sounds like Apple has a leg up since there isn’t so many competitors. Plus, even then, Apple is ahead of Google when it comes to technology advancement. Their advancements in AI-powered voice control and eye gaze detection is absolutely astounding. They also keep releasing new models of their flagship phones every 6 months or so. On top of that, the prices of their newer smartphones have come down tremendously, meaning they have some decent deals too. Some new ones like the OnePlus 8T, X50 Pro, Oppo Find X Ultra, Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo, and others are around the $300 mark while the original iPhone SE is around $200. So, the whole point here is that Google truly has more advanced tech than Apple. And although the market share of Google is larger than Apple’s, their smartphone division is growing faster than Apple’s, something that is going to become even clearer as time progresses.
There is a lot more information on the new Google Pixel lineup and some rumors suggest Google might launch phones already next year. This news is coming soon to an Android user, so keep checking out our blog and follow us on Twitter for all gadget reviews and announcements.
