I know why you’re here because if this review isn’t about a game, then this is not the place for me to be spending my time. If these reviews were solely based on games they wouldn’t even require an introduction. But in honor of Halloween and the spooky season, we are going to find out how good Honour Magic V is before we decide that it’s worthy of making our list. Before we delve into what makes up Honors Magic V we have to consider its availability. It’s available from two retailers but only one is currently showing, Amazon. This means it’s available in either your own store or at GameStop. So while there may be some people who can purchase it, not everyone has access to free stores, so you may need to go somewhere else to get hold of the actual game. That said, as long as you can make it across town to your local Gamestop, you should have no problems with getting it. Unfortunately though, whilst it’s open to those who want it, it does not appear to be accessible to anyone outside North America. Now of course, this could be due to regulatory reasons like the fact that the United States doesn’t allow many countries to sell copies of certain games to their residents. However as long as nothing stops others from purchasing games from such countries it’s not really something that seems to affect us all.

The developers behind Honors Magic V do have options to try and help resolve this issue but until players in the US have their hands on the console then there is nothing much we can do about it. If you’ve ever checked the price tag of any Playstation game when it came out it was always around $60 USD. Why am I telling you this? Because even though most of them weren’t actually worth that amount let alone a full refund, PlayStation owners have already had plenty of reasons over the years to justify their money spent buying games. Plus, you don’t have to ask yourself “why am I paying $60?” anymore when you realize it’s just another dollar more than you would’ve been shelling out for the Xbox 360 X (the same exact model). Therefore, when you finally decide that honour is worth waiting a few months for, believe me when I say t

hat’s not going to stop you from purchasing it. Once again, unlike other consoles, PlayStation 4 users have the option to buy games, accessories and remasters. In fact, you can often see PS4 owners trying to upgrade their computers so that they can play games on the new hardware and thus avoid having to pay a few extra dollars for additional storage space and power. And yes, despite the small number of titles being released on PS4, Playstation4 users aren’t exactly complaining when it comes to getting their hands on quality games. They love collecting every release that comes along regardless of how long it takes them to install them because they’ve probably got better games in their collection than the majority of gamers did. Well, except that if you didn’t bother checking out each title and trying to remember which one to grab first when you saw it at launch, you might be looking at missing out on a golden opportunity to save some cash because Sony wouldn’t be able to sell anything on disc. If you know someone that did that however well, congratulations! You’re doing the right thing by bringing awareness to something that might otherwise have gone unnoticed.

When honour finally launched onto the shelves it cost $59.99 and while I’m sure no one will argue that $59.99 is quite steep nowadays, that still does give it a very respectable start. Not too shabby! Let’s talk about what makes honour magic v stand out on its own when compared to the rest within the field of indie horror games we’ve seen in recent times.

First off, the fact that it comes packed as part of a bundle in comparison with popular indie horror franchises such as Resident Evil 2 and Scream 3. Yes, technically both of these games were made by Capcom but since Sony took possession of the company back in 2004 the games are considered somewhat disposable and don’t seem to receive as thorough attention as they once did when they were first introduced. Furthermore, Resident Evil 2 just wasn’t a great game by any stretch of the imagination. Whereas, a lot of fans would argue that the premise from Scream 3 was far superior while also comparing that one to Resident Evil 2, the conclusion is clear.

What separates honour magic v apart from both of these entries is that even though the overall plot is similar, the level design of the game differs slightly, especially considering they are coming from the same developer. For instance, the concept of playing through levels and moving on in search of monsters or clues to figure out what happened to cause the deaths of the main characters was present within both Resident Evil 2 and Scream 3 but whereas the former is more focused on uncovering the mystery rather than killing off the boss, the latter is more focused on taking down various bosses while also exploring ways to defeat the final foe, one of whom has his head blown off or something along those lines. Obviously, this wasn’t intentional but it does create a different atmosphere because instead of seeing everything as a battle that needs to be won to win,

The entire mission is one giant puzzle that must be solved on your own without relying on others to take charge. To put this in perspective, Resident Evil 2 is nearly half an hour long in length whereas, although the story itself is short as well, the combat sequences are much longer lasting anywhere between 10-20 minutes per encounter whereas Scream 3 ends with three hours without a single cutscene. Despite this shorter runtime and tighter gameplay mechanics, Scream 3 still manages to deliver something completely unique to gaming because it allows the player to feel like they are dealing with real ghosts as opposed to simple zombies or demons. After a quick look at other comparable games like Resident Evil 2 and Scream 3, it’s clear to see why. While not quite as fast paced or involving the same amount of enemies as what you might expect from Resident Evil 2, this particular entry definitely stands out above the crowd. Perhaps this slight deviation can be attributed to the original game having better graphics and more realistic character models, therefore presenting the ghost in a way that simply hadn’t been explored before.

Regardless of how effective horror games have become in general, video games are just one form of entertainment that they allow gamers to immerse themselves into a world that might never return the sense of satisfaction that people get from watching live action movies. Although both of these games have strong protagonists and stories told throughout, none are quite as compelling as the idea that an enemy lurks beneath the surface of your skin and that you need to discover which ones and eradicate them before the hero ultimately defeats the final boss. Unlike Resident Evil 2 (and perhaps sometimes Resident Evil), Ghosts in the Shell is not set in a post apocalyptic future where humanity is doomed to perish and the last survivors are left struggling for survival. Instead, Asobi, the protagonist, is sent away on her mission to destroy what she calls "The Living Dead" which is basically human skeletons that lie dormant beneath the ground just waiting to be awakened to face whatever evil the living dead are capable of. There is no doubt that the gameplay mechanics are incredibly tight and varied as well as the dialogue. As mentioned earlier, this is extremely well done given the limited amount of resources and the importance of keeping track of numerous variables within the situation. Due to this combination of high effortless movement paired with intelligent dialogue, you are constantly reminded to keep track of your opponent’s health and even items you may not have been aware of before. Also, it feels a bit more authentic as you learn of who you’re fighting and have to rely on intuition. Even with the fairly lengthy time span in which things like building blocks are discovered, there is no sense of urgency needed to complete the quest as it moves rapidly through the stages. On top of this, there is a surprisingly decent challenge with the difficulty increase in later stages of the game which increases exponentially with the number of chapters and encounters you make within each stage. Overall, Ghost in the Shell truly does work much better in conjunction with other titles we have previously discussed, particularly Resident Evil 2 because despite lacking the technical prowess of the previous entry, it still managed to provide something fresh and exciting to the genre. The next question that arises based on this comparison is what sets Honour Magic V apart from the other games that have come out recently. Surely you’d think that with all the hype surrounding the latest generation of the Playstation game, that the developers knew that it would be very difficult to compete with the competition. And yet, they did it anyway! Granted, they have had a couple of rough years and weren’t quite as close to perfect during the early parts of 2016 however, by 2018, the development team was certainly improving and releasing amazing new content at regular intervals. First of all, the visuals are vastly improved and as stated previously, they’re even more detailed than they were ten years ago, providing a more immersive experience for players who enjoy that kind of aesthetic. Secondly, the combat is still extremely tight and accurate and with four separate groups to choose from, each giving their own approach to fight, they make it challenging to find a match when facing multiple opponents in combat. Lastly, as mentioned, using a higher degree of realism as well as more sophisticated weapons, you can easily kill the bad guys with ease. All of this was present in older versions of the game, but now they’re brought to life in a brighter light thanks to modern technology and graphical improvements. With the use of state of the art lighting settings combined with ultra-realistic textures and effects,
